I’ll admit that I was getting a bit sick of the Olympics before it even started. Mainly because of the ridiculous amount of television advertisements by companies that are “proud sponsors of Team GB” or of the Games itself.

I’d say it comes with getting older, but then again I’ve always had a cynical streak to me.

Now I’ve had chance to watch some of the events the sense of joy, awe and wonder has happily returned. Unless you are a cheating badminton player.

Faster, higher, stronger. Something that always makes me wanna do more, and be better. Hopefully a lasting impression will be made on the kids of today and they find themselves introduced to sports they know, maybe even those they don’t, and playing them.
